Having a solid front 7 is one of the most important aspects of a good football team, and Mississippi State head coach Zach Arnett believes LSU has one of the best in the country.
The Bulldogs will try their hand at containing that front 7 this weekend as they take on the Tigers. The challenge is certainly at hand, and Arnett detailed the matchup against LSU during the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday.
“Football is kind of a game that’s dominated at the line of scrimmage,” Arnett said. “Won or lost based on the battle at the line of scrimmage. And they’re as talented as there is in the country at the line of scrimmage, that front 7. Like I said, we’ve got our hands full. It’s going to be quite the challenge and we’ll know more about ourselves and how we stack up to them after this one.”
Mississippi State is coming off a narrow overtime win against Arizona and is looking to keep the momentum going against LSU. The Tigers are coming off a dominant 72-10 win against Grambling State and are looking to pick up some steam before getting into SEC play.
The Bulldogs and Tigers kickoff at noon ET on Saturday.
