Chase Dollander is headed to The Show.

Dollander, a former standout on the mound for Tennessee, has been called up by the Colorado Rockies to make his MLB debut this weekend.

Here’s a clip from Dollander finding out about his promotion to the big leagues:

Dollander proved to be a quicker riser through the Rockies system. He was a first-round pick by the organization back in June of 2023, going No. 9 overall in that draft. Dollander then dominated High-A and AA over his first 2 professional seasons.

He made his first AAA start last week, throwing 4 innings of 1-run ball. With just 122 minor league innings to his name, Dollander will now face Major League opposition in his next start. According to Patrick Lyons, that start will come on Sunday as the Rockies face Oakland at home.

Pitching at Coors Field is always difficult due to the altitude. The Rockies have found very little success in their pitching development over the years, but Dollander looks like he may be an outlier. He has a career 2.58 ERA in the minor leagues and recorded 12.8 strikeouts per 9 innings as well.

First pitch on Sunday is set for 4:10 p.m. ET.
