Bronny James has reportedly made his final decision on the 2024 NBA Draft.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, James is expected to remain in the 2024 NBA Draft as opposed to returning to college for another season. He has reportedly been fully cleared to play in the NBA as a part of the league’s “Fitness to Play” panel and will take part in all pre-draft activities, including the Draft Combine.

The son of LeBron James, Bronny entered college as a 5-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. Unfortunately, Bronny’s freshman season was derailed by a medical emergency with a cardiac arrest and a procedure to repair a congenital heart defect. That incident set back his development and overall impact with the Trojans.
NBA outlook
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, James averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 25 games. In spite of those numbers, some analysts still believe James has an NBA future, though Jay Bilas questioned if now is the right time to make the leap.
All along, the thought surrounding Bronny has been that he would team up with LeBron as the first father-son duo in the NBA. LeBron’s own future is currently up in the air a bit after his comments coming out of a playoff loss, but it still looks likely he will return to the Los Angeles Lakers for another year.
If that plays out, the Lakers will remain the favorite to draft Bronny. The Lakers currently lead FanDuel‘s odds to draft Bronny at +185 while the New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder are all longshots at +1400.
