Fans, media rip awful NBA Slam Dunk Contest

The NBA Slam Dunk Contest was held on Saturday night, and you’re forgiven if you decided not to tune in.

It was, by most accounts, one of the worst dunk contests of all-time. Obi Toppin of the New York Knicks (brother of Kentucky forward Jacob Toppin) took home the trophy.

Here’s a look at the dunks Toppin did to earn first place in the annual event:

But, Toppin’s dunks aren’t what people were talking about on social media. Instead, fans and media members flocked to Twitter to call out how bad this year’s contest was. Here are some of the top tweets of the night:

Yeah, maybe don’t hold the dunk contest next year if the game’s biggest stars don’t want to participate.
