The NBA playoffs continue on Wednesday night with a trio of games on the schedule.
Big-name stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat will take the court on Wednesday.
Here’s a look at the tipoff times and TV information for Wednesday’s slate of playoff action:
- Los Angeles Lakers at Memphis Grizzlies — 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT
- Miami Heat at Milwaukee Buckers — 9 p.m. ET on NBA TV
- Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets — 10 p.m. ET on TNT
Several former SEC stars, including Davis, Towns, Edwards and Adebayo, will be in action on Wednesday night.

My picks for April 19
Anthony Davis “higher” 40.5 points+rebounds+assists. Davis posted 35 points+rebounds+assists in Game 1, even though bench players Austin Reeves and Rui Hachimura were dominant. If those 2 backups don’t have quite the same level of impact in Game 2, the former Kentucky superstar should have more of the offensive weight on his shoulders. Yes, he’s going against Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr., but that should just serve as extra motivation for Davis.
Bam Adebayo “higher” 33.5 points+rebounds+assists. If Giannis Antetokounmpo plays after hurting his back/tailbone in Game 1, he likely won’t be at full strength. Even a weakened Antetokounmpo is a handful for opposing teams, but if he’s limited, Defensive Player of the Year nominee Brook Lopez won’t be able to focus on stopping Adebayo exclusively. Adebayo posted 22 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in Game 1, so expect another big outing from the ex-Kentucky big man in Game 2.
Anthony Edwards “higher” 33.5 points+rebounds+assists. Edwards struggled a bit in Game 1, as did the Timberwolves as a whole. But the Minnesota coaching staff has to figure out ways to get the former Georgia star and No. 1 overall pick involved in the offense early and often. Expect Edwards to have a big first quarter and do just enough to eclipse this mark, win or lose.
How many picks should you make?
The more picks you string together, the higher the “multiplier” or payout. Of course, the more you string together, the less likely you are to win because all of the picks have to hit in order for you to win.
A 3-way parlay of the picks I listed in the section above would pay out $60 on a $10 bet:
If you’d rather play it a bit safer and just do a 2-way contest for a 3X multiplier, I’d recommend eliminating Davis from the above contest and just going with Adebayo and Edwards. Still, that Lakers-Grizzlies game should be very exciting!
