My picks for Monday’s NBA playoff slate
LeBron James “higher” 0.5 points. This is a no-brainer. The Underdog Fantasy promo is all but a certainty to hit. LeBron is one of the best players of all time and the Lakers will be going for a big win after downing the Warriors by 30 points on Saturday night. LeBron should get his first bucket within the first couple of minutes of Monday night’s game.
Josh Hart “higher” 22.5 points+rebounds+assists. In the early game between the New York Knicks and Miami Heat, I like Hart’s points+rebounds+assists over. He’s had at least 23 points+rebounds+assists in his last 2 games. With Heat star Jimmy Butler busy elsewhere defensively, Hart should have room to flourish once again.
Steph Curry “higher” 5.0 3-pointers made. Steph Curry is probably the best shooter in NBA history. With the Warriors looking to avoid going down 3-1 in the series against the Lakers, Curry will have to be at his best. That involves lots of 3-point opportunities. Look for him to make at least half a dozen on Monday night in Los Angeles with his team’s season perhaps on the line.
How many picks should you make?
The more picks you string together, the higher the “multiplier” or payout. Of course, the more you string together, the less likely you are to win because all of the picks have to hit in order for you to win.
A 3-way parlay of the picks I listed above would pay out $60 on a $10 bet. I went with a 2-way contest featuring LeBron and Josh Hart. I risked $5 for a potential payout of $15:
