The Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders saw tempers flare during their Week 1 matchup on Sunday at SoFi Stadium.

With 3 minutes, 40 seconds remaining in the 4th quarter and the Chargers having just gone up 22-10 after a touchdown and a successful 2-point conversion, CBS cameras caught punches being thrown behind one of the end zones. Two players were ejected in the aftermath: LA’s Joshua Palmer and Las Vegas’s Jack Jones.

Here’s video of part of the fight:

That ended up being the final score of the game as the Chargers went on to win Jim Harbaugh’s debut as LA’s head coach. Meanwhile, the Raiders dropped Antonio Pierce’s first game as permanent head coach after taking the reins on an interim basis in 2023.

The AFC West foes will do battle once more later in the season; in fact, they’ll play each other on Jan. 5 to end the regular season. We’ll see if time heals the wounds from this one or if there’s any carryover.
