Dan Orlovsky says Jaxson Dart could be ‘steal of the draft,’ compares QB to Bo Nix

Dan Orlovsky is high on Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart heading into the 2025 NFL Draft.
Appearing on Get Up, Orlovsky labeled Dart a steal.
“For me, he’s the guy that 2 or 3 years from now we look back and go, man, people were wrong on him,” Orlovsky said. “He’s the steal of the draft, essentially.”
Orlovsky likened Dart to one of the most successful rookie QBs of 2024.
“When you watch his tape, he’s so similar to Bo Nix last year and, wow, a lot better than I anticipated,” Orlovsky continued. “I think you’ve got to build crossers into his game. Ole Miss did it a ton.”
In Orlovsky’s opinion, Dart checks two important boxes, as the QB sees the field well and shows impressive arm strength.
Dart has been trending upward heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, which begins Thursday. There isn’t a clear consensus on the QB order after Cam Ward. Recent mock drafts have varied, with Tyler Sullivan of CBS Sports projecting Dart at No. 21 to the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Chad Reuter of NFL.com has the Ole Miss QB going at No. 9 to the New Orleans Saints.
We’ll see how it all plays out.
