The Cowboys had been in talks with McCarthy for a while about potentially bringing him back to the team, but the team ultimately decided to part ways.
Sanders started his coaching career at Jackson State, and put them on the map before heading to Colorado. He had been saying that he has every intention of staying at Colorado and coaching in college. However, if there is one NFL job that could attract him to leave, it would be coaching the Cowboys.
These are early preliminary conversations, but don’t be surprised if this conversation between the 2 parties involved continues.
