Quarterback: Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers ($6,500)

Lamar Jackson is our favorite pay-up option this week, coming in at $7,900 to Josh Allen’s $8,000. But if you want to save yourself $1,500, dropping down to Brock Purdy makes a lot of sense. He and his top pass catchers have had a week off to rest and also barely played in Week 18. Purdy has been excellent all year, and the Packers’ defense hasn’t been great. Yes, Green Bay has been better on that side of the ball the past few weeks as it made a push toward the playoffs, but you could see the cracks start to show last week as a seeming blowout win over Dallas was made interesting by a late Cowboys offensive surge.

Purdy simply has too many weapons not to put up plenty of points against the Packers. Paying down at QB to save money elsewhere will let you fit some of those weapons into your lineups.

Running Back: Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs ($6,400)

Running back is tricky this weekend. All of the remaining teams except 1 have not given up a ton of points to opposing running backs. The lone exception is the Green Bay Packers, but since they’re facing Christian McCaffrey, you’re going to have to pay up to get the San Francisco star in your lineup.

Elsewhere, Buffalo’s defense has been banged up, so Isiah Pacheco of the Chiefs is a solid play. You know he’s going to get plenty of work in what promises to be another cold game in Buffalo. He had 24 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown last weekend in a win over Miami. Expect a similar workload on Sunday evening.

WR: Rashee Rice, Kansas City Chiefs ($6,800)

Rice saw 12 targets in the freezing-cold win over the Miami Dolphins on Saturday. He used those targets to make 8 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown. He’s clearly Patrick Mahomes’ go-to guy these days, even over TE Travis Kelce (we hope there’s no bad blood there). Against a banged-up Buffalo defense on Sunday evening, we think Mahomes and Rice will once again see sparks fly. Considering his price, Rice is a bargain compared to some of the other WR1s on the slate.

WR: Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers ($5,200)

Many DFS players will be scared off after Reed didn’t record a single catch on 3 targets during the Packers’ win over the Dallas Cowboys last week. However, Reed was Jordan Love’s top target for the latter part of the regular season. Against the 49ers, Green Bay is going to have to throw the ball a lot. Look for Love and Matt LaFleur to get the ball to Reed early and often on Saturday night.

TE: George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers ($5,200)

We’ll pick on the Packers’ defense a little bit more here. In 3 career games against Green Bay, Kittle has 17 catches for 251 yards and 1 touchdown. This year’s Green Bay squad gave up the eighth-most points to opposing tight ends. That all bodes well for Kittle to have a big game. Pair him with Purdy and McCaffrey and bring it back with Jayden Reed and you’ll be off to a good start for your Divisional Playoff weekend.

D/ST: Detroit Lions ($3,300)

When it comes to this point in the postseason, with only 8 teams in action on Saturday and Sunday, there are going to be limited routes you can go on defense. Baltimore ($3,500) and San Francisco ($3,400) are the 2 most expensive defenses, but you can save a bit of money if you drop down to the Lions at $3,300. If that helps you fit Christian McCaffrey and a top receiver into your lineup, it’s worth the savings.
