ESPN’s Adam Schefter doesn’t have a crystal ball on the NFL Draft, but he’s heavily in the know and he believes he knows where former Ole Miss standout Jaxson Dart will land later this week.

Specifically, Schefter thinks there are 3 teams who could very well make Dart their next franchise quarterback. Schefter spoke on Wednesday on the eve of the draft, which begins with the first round on Thursday night and continues Friday night and Saturday afternoon with rounds 2 through 7.

Dart didn’t quite get the Rebels into the College Football Playoff during his time in Oxford but did cap his college career by throwing for 4,279 yards with 29 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions in 2024. He threw for a lot of yards and tossed a ton of touchdowns while at Ole Miss after that 1 season at USC in 2021, and now he wants to make sure 1 NFL team is a very lucky one.

“A lot of interest in Jaxson Dart. You wonder whether the New York Giants or Cleveland Browns or New Orleans Saints might be interested. Certainly, it feels like 1 of those 3 teams will wind up drafting Jaxson Dart,” said Schefter, who pointed to the fact that all 3 of those teams pick early in Round 2 on Friday night.

That’s where Schefter is targeting Dart to be picked — early on Friday night in Round 2. Whether that actually happens or perhaps Dart sneaks into the first round on Thursday night remains to be seen.

Either way, Ole Miss fans will be tuned in this weekend to see where the former Rebel great ends up.
