Feleipe Franks is looking for a new NFL opportunity. The Atlanta Falcons announced Thursday that Franks has been waived with an injury designation.

Franks has reportedly been dealing with an ankle issue.

Franks has been with Atlanta since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2021. Stat logs have him in 20 games as a member of the active roster over 2 seasons, with 4 career rushes and 1 interception.

As a rookie, Franks was the team’s third-string quarterback behind Matt Ryan and Josh Rosen. In 2022, Franks began playing tight end.

Franks made 1 start in the 2022 season. He did not record any receptions in regular-season action. The Falcons roster listed him as a 6-6, 234-pound tight end.

From 2016-to-2019, Franks played quarterback at Florida. He played just 3 games in UF’s 2019 season before suffering a season-ending injury. Franks transferred to Arkansas for his redshirt senior season, setting a single-season school record for completion percentage (68.5%).
