Shedeur Sanders was not the only NFL Draft prospect to be prank called thinking he was talking to his new team. Former Penn State TE Tyler Warren also dealt with pranksters on Thursday night.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Warren received a prank call when the New York Jets were on the clock at No. 7. The Jets took Mizzou offensive lineman Armand Membou with the pick.
Per Schultz, Warren’s camp thinks there could be a connection to the Sanders incident based on the caller’s number. The NFL is looking into the leak of Sanders’ private number.
Sources: Penn State TE Tyler Warren was also prank called during the draft, receiving a call when the #Jets were on the clock at No. 7. I’m told Warren’s camp believes it was the same number and/or area code involved in the Shedeur Sanders prank on Friday night.

A big difference for the two players pranked is that Warren did not have to wait long to get the real call, as the Indianapolis Colts took him 7 picks later at No. 14 overall. Sanders, who was pranked during Thursday’s Round 1 like Warren, was not drafted until Round 5 on Saturday.
