Minkah Fitzpatrick has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced on Monday.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the former Alabama defensive back did in fact test positive for the virus. He joins quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on the list.

According to the AP, clubs are not required to release information regarding players’ vaccination status. If Fitzpatrick is vaccinated, he will be required to be free of symptoms and return 2 negative PCR tests 24 hours apart. If he is not vaccinated, he’ll be sidelined for a minimum of 10 days.

Through 9 games this season, the safety leads the Steelers with 64 tackles. He also has a pass defensed, a tackle for a loss, and a forced fumble.

The Steelers play at Los Angeles against the Chargers on Sunday.
