Ja’Marr Chase is taking to the NFL quite nicely as a rookie. Records seem as easy to obtain as receptions.
The Cincinnati Bengals receiver caught a relatively short pass from quarterback Joe Burrow and turned it into 82-yard touchdown. Both played on LSU’s 15-0 team that won a national championship in 2019.
The latest reception puts Chase in record territory. His 645 receiving yards in his first seven games as a rookie is an NFL record:
Ja’Marr Chase just set a Rookie NFL record – Receiving Yards in first 7 career games:
Ja’Marr Chase – 645
Anquan Boldin – 621
Odell Beckham Jr – 609
Marques Colston – 577

This type of play was predicted. Chase said he was “going to break every record they got” shortly after being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Bengals. He’s on his way.
