The Miami Dolphins turned some heads when they picked Jaylen Waddle at No. 6 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. It turns out they weren’t the only club extremely high on the Alabama wide receiver, even coming off of a season-ending injury.

NFL fans and media members are enjoying that the Jacksonville Jaguars have offered a peek at their draft board and draft grades. Episode three of the team’s draft series “The Hunt” shows how the Jags graded various potential draftees. Trevor Lawrence, the team’s first pick at No. 1 overall, received a perfect grade of 8.0 from the Jags. To the surprise of many, Waddle also had an 8.0 grade. It shows that the Jaguars thought of Waddle higher than former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson, who went No. 2 overall to the New York Jets. The Jaguars had Wilson graded at 7.0.

Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports captures some of the grades shown in the video. It was Jacksonville’s time to turn heads with its pick of Clemson running back Travis Etienne in the first round, touting his versatile play-making abilities as a pass-catcher. Many fans wondered why Jacksonville did not draft former Ole Miss standout Elijah Moore if the Jags wanted a play-making pass-catcher. The video shows that Jacksonville graded Etienne 7.0 while Moore was a 6.9.
