Jeff Saturday supporters blast TV pundits, other critics of interim coach
By Crissy Froyd
Published:
There were some mixed opinions about making Jeff Saturday the interim head coach of the Indianapolis Colts after he formerly played center for the team.
Things are going well for Saturday right now, though, as he led the Colts to a 25-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. And people on social media had plenty to say about that as Saturday proved his doubters wrong, something he’ll look to continue as he leads the team through the remainder of the season.

Jeff Saturday becomes first coach since at least 1950 to tweet that a team looks horrible, and then beat them within the next two weeks, after never having coached at the college or pro level before. pic.twitter.com/UcqXWvZqma

It took Josh McDaniels *years* to get people to start thinking about him as a Super Bowl offensive coordinator again and not the angry young guy who drafted Tim Tebow in the first round. And now he’s the guy who lost at home to a Price Is Right contestant.

Jeff Saturday beating Josh McDaniels proves that the only thing worse than hiring with absolutely zero coaching experience is hiring someone with experience coaching under Bill Belichick

Jeff Saturday went from tweeting “Raiders look horrible” on his couch to beating the Raiders as a head coach. That is top tier King shit. https://t.co/NxW0sXX8EY

All of these former coaches/athletes who were given high paying national broadcasting jobs with literally no broadcast experience — over hundreds of broadcasters who have spent years in small markets —but are crying foul over Jeff Saturday is the epitome of hypocrisy.

The fighting Jeff Saturday’s are 1-0. And he was the better coach today over Josh McDaniels
