The team stated that they will recognize his success during his time with Tampa Bay in the early 2000s. However, he will be removed from the Buccaneers Ring of Honor following the incident.
Gruden had a 57-55 win/loss record as coach of the Buccaneers from 2002 to 2009.
He resigned as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders following comments made in an email chain.
