The NFL in recent years has faced criticism for its, at times, blatant protection of quarterbacks by way of the roughing the passer penalty. Sunday saw the latest example that had fans upset all over again.

It involved former Oklahoma star QB Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals against the Cleveland Browns when Murray was pressured by Cleveland’s Malik Jackson. As you can see in the video below, Murray was hardly pushed by Jackson after he released a pass.

The play came on second down and 17 from the Arizona 23-yard line, and gave the Cardinals a first down at the 38 on a drive that ultimately resulted in a touchdown after 11 plays and 93 yards. Arizona pulled away in the second half and won, 37-14.
