Matt Ryan will never live down “28-3” references for as long as he lives.
Ryan was in the booth with Andrew Catalon and Tiki Barber for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Minnesota Vikings game at U.S. Bank Stadium, his regular-season debut with CBS.
Even with the game tied at 10-10, Catalon couldn’t resist making a joke at Ryan’s expense. Take a look at the video below as he trolled him with a “28-3” reference:
Matt Ryan made his broadcasting debut today … and they really didn't have to do this to him.

It’s the first week of the season, so Catalon may have figured to get it out of the way early. For Ryan’s part, he gained some rave reviews during a preseason game he did with Catalon and Barber, and as time goes on, he’ll get more comfortable.
He hasn’t completely ruled out a return to the NFL, but more 28-3 cracks like that may have him looking to get back on the football field sooner rather than later.
Tampa Bay ultimately won 20-17.
