Have you ever heard of thundersnow?
It’s exactly what it sounds like, and the forecasted weather in Buffalo for Sunday (including potential “thundersnow”) is so rough that the NFL is closely monitoring the situation, potentially to move the game to a neutral site in lieu of the weather.
Forecasts are calling for 3-6 feet of snow in upper New York before the game, which is set to kick off at 1 p.m. EST Sunday.

With potential lightning involved the game would not be able to continue were it to stay in Buffalo. As the event is rare, there’s a chance the game will just stay in Buffalo regardless should the worst of it pass.
