PrizePicks Free Squares: 3 promos live now, including 1 featuring Patrick Mahomes
By Adam Spencer

PrizePicks is one of the premier DFS apps out there today. Even though the NBA Finals are over and the Stanley Cup ended on Monday, it’s still a surprisingly good time to get in on the daily fantasy sports fun.
Yes, the NFL is still months away, but there are plenty of options available for DFS enthusiasts on PrizePicks. And this week is extra special, as PrizePicks is offering 3 amazing “free squares” all week long.
The sports? Well, there’s 1 free square involving this weekend’s UFC action, another involving the Nathan’s Hot Dog Contest and a third involving Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and his passing yards for the upcoming 2024 NFL season.

PrizePicks Free Square Promos
When you sign up for PrizePicks, you’ll find numerous sports available for picks you want to make. But if you find the MMA, Hot Dog and NFLSZN tabs, you’ll be able to access a trio of great free squares.
Here’s a look at the one that is happening soonest, involving Alex Pereira, who will battle Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 on Saturday night. If he lands even 1 significant strike, you’ll win that pick!
Next up is the annual Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest. No, Joey Chestnut won’t be there to defend his title due to a conflict with sponsorships (silly, if you ask us), but hot dogs will still be eaten that day.
If Geoffrey Esper manages to finish a single dog, you’ll win that portion of your entry. Considering his current projection is set at more or less than 49.5 hot dogs, him finishing 1 seems like a safe pick:
And finally, we come to the NFL season. PrizePicks allows users to make season-long picks involving some of the top players in the game.
Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes certainly falls into that category. Will he accrue a single pass yard in 2024? Seems likely that he’ll manage that on his first drive in Week 1, right? His more/less total is set at 4,299.5 yards, after all.
Simply navigate to the NFLSZN tab on the PrizePicks app before Sunday night to snag this special pick.
My NFLSZN Picks
What does it look like when you take advantage of one of these PrizePicks specials? Here’s a contest I put together involving the Mahomes free square. If all 4 of my picks are correct, I’ll win 10x my $5 entry fee, meaning I’ll earn $50 at the end of the regular season:
Patrick Mahomes is the easy pick. Here’s a breakdown of my other 3 picks in the above contest:
Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons: Less than 27.5 passing TDs
Cousins is coming off an Achilles injury last season with Minnesota. Learning a new offense without being able to be on the field will likely lead to a slow start to the 2024 campaign for him. I expect him to come on strong down the stretch, but by then, it’ll be too late to reach 28 passing TDs.
Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens: More than 10.5 rushing TDs
Henry had 12 rushing TDs for a bad Titans offense last year. Now he upgrades to an elite offense, a better offensive line and a better system. Lamar Jackson is the reigning MVP, but Henry will likely take a majority of the goal-line carries away from Jackson. Scoring 11 touchdowns should be fairly easy for Henry this year.
Christian Kirk, Jacksonville Jaguars: More than 925.5 receiving yards
Calvin Ridley is gone and first-round pick Brian Thomas Jr. will take some time to get up to speed. I expect a better year for Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence, too, which will help Kirk. He finished with 787 yards in only 12 games last year. If he stays healthy, he should be the WR1 for Jacksonville this fall.
