Super Bowl LXII reportedly has a host site lined up.
According to Ben Fischer with the Sports Business Journal, NFL leaders are planning to award Super Bowl LXII to Atlanta. Owners are set to meet in Atlanta during October and would award the honor at that time, though the decision is subject to input and approval from the full group of NFL owners.
Fischer did report executives and “key owners” in the NFL Fan Engagement & Major Events Committee want Atlanta as a host site for the 2028 Super Bowl. If approved, it would give Atlanta a 2nd Super Bowl in 9 seasons after hosting the Super Bowl in 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a traditional host site for many prominent college football games including the SEC Championship and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl which is also in the rotation for the College Football Playoff. Atlanta will also host the Men’s Final Four in 2031.
The host sites already determined for future Super Bowls include New Orleans (2025), Santa Clara (2026) and Los Angeles (2027). There are some drawbacks to Atlanta in the NFL’s eyes, including being north enough that winter weather in February can pose a problem, but there are enough amenities and hotel rooms after a successful host week for the event in 2019.
