Tyreek Hill had a wild Sunday that included some weird and crazy turn of events, including an electric touchdown in the season opener for the Miami Dolphins.
According to Sunday morning reports, Hill was detained by police after a verbal spat following Hill getting pulled over for speeding. The Miami Dolphins acknowledged the incident that occurred about a block away from the stadium and also confirmed Hill would indeed be playing in the season opener.
And what a season opener it was. Hill would torch the Jacksonville Jaguars for an electric 80-yard touchdown as the Dolphins scored 13 unanswered points in the second half for the win.
After that score, Hill hit a celebration with a nod toward his Sunday morning incident with Jaylen Waddle coming alongside and pretending to lead Hill away in handcuffs. While the television broadcast cut away from the celebration, many images were shared of the scene across social media.

After the game, Hill addressed the incident and spoke about finding ways to “flip this and make it a positive” for himself and the larger Miami-Dade community. He also reflected on the incident and questioned what might have happened “if I wasn’t Tyreek Hill?”
That is quite the opening week of the NFL season for Hill.
