A few success stories have already come out of the 2 minor leagues, which went into development with the goal of complimenting the NFL, not competing with it. A few players, such as QB PJ Walker, were able to parlay success in the XFL to an NFL deal.
The USFL and XFL each have 8 teams from 15 different U.S. cities. Houston has both an XFL and USFL team.
