The Virginia Cavaliers punched their ticket to Omaha on Monday afternoon with a 5-2 win over Dallas Baptist University in Columbia, South Carolina.
However, it wasn’t easy for the Cavaliers, who had to battle back from a 2-0 deficit. That deficit was almost more.
As you can see below, a DBU player thought he had launched a home run in the top of the seventh inning. He celebrated with a bat flip and a strut. The problem? The ball was caught by the Virginia outfielder on the warning track:

Celebrating a home run is fine. But, you need to make sure it’s actually a home run first.
Virginia scored 4 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a lead that it wouldn’t give up again.
