The Home Run Derby is set for Monday evening in Arlington, Texas. The lineup for the 8-man event is a strong one.
Pete Alonso of the New York Mets, who won the event in 2019 and 2021, will participate once again. Here are the 8 sluggers who will square off for the Home Run Derby title on Monday night:

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who won the derby in 2023, won’t be participating. Alonso is the only player in the field to have previously won the derby, so we’ll see if he can score victory No. 3 or if we have a first-time winner this season.

Pete Alonso is the only player in this year’s Home Run Derby who has won before. He claimed the derby crown in both 2019 and 2021.
