This is Underdog’s flagship best ball tournament and it has grown in popularity each and every year. This year, 672,672 players will square off with a $1.5 million grand prize at stake.

Have you played any of the previous 4 Best Ball Mania tournaments? If so, you can probably skip this section. If this is your first Best Ball Mania, welcome!
Best ball tournaments on Underdog are like your regular season-long fantasy football leagues. But, once you draft your team, you’re done. Underdog automatically optimizes your lineup each week so you have the highest point total possible.
All you do is enter a draft with 12 other Underdog users. That’s your draft pool. You then pick an 18-player team, making sure you have a solid mix of QBs, RBs, WRs and TEs.

So, as you can see from that list, over 100,000 players will win money in this tournament. Yes, first prize is smaller than it was in Best Ball Mania IV last year, but there are more prizes spread out so more players win.

What do you notice there? Well, for one, they’re all WRs and RBs. Not a QB or TE in the group. The first QB in the rankings is Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, who is at 31.2 ADP currently.
RBs and WRs are considered the most-valuable pieces for your roster, so most winning drafts load up on those positions early. Just look at last year’s Best Ball Mania IV winner for inspiration.

Getting Kyren Williams of the Rams in the final round, as well as CJ Stroud in the 17th round, obviously helped that team a lot. You need to find value in the later rounds if you’re going to advance to the Best Ball Mania finals.
The final round is where the real money is made. You earn money for advancing through each round, but the biggest payouts (understandably) come from the finals.
