DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown have delivered a first for the Philadelphia Eagles. The SEC alumni are each over 1,000 yards for the 2022 season.

Smith and Brown are the first Eagles receiving duo to each post over 1,000 receiving yards.

Smith entered Saturday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with 71 catches for 901 yards and 5 touchdowns through his first 14 games of the season. He cracked the 1,000-yard mark with a monster performance in the rivalry showdown. The Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama had 8 receptions for 113 yards and 2 touchdowns in a close loss to the Cowboys.

AJ Brown is having one of the best seasons of his pro career. Through 15 games, he now has 80 catches for 1,304 yards, both career-highs. Brown currently has 10 touchdowns, one shy of his career-high 11 set in 2020. The former Ole Miss standout has 2 more games to make it a clean sweep of career-high marks for the 2022 season, his first with the Eagles.

Smith and Brown will look to add to their big seasons on New Year’s Day against the New Orleans Saints. We’ll see if they’re back to catching passes from Jalen Hurts or if Gardner Minshew will be filling in again.
