Former Alabama Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith has several familiar things and people around him in Philadelphia.
For starters, he’ll reunite with quarterback Jalen Hurts and Tide offensive lineman Landon Dickerson — who was picked in Friday night’s second round. He’ll also wear the same number as he wore in college: 6.
Smith shared the news on social media Friday evening.

The Eagles traded up to No. 10 to take Smith during Thursday night’s first round
“I was shocked that they (Eagles) had traded up for me,” Smith told reporters. “I was really like, if they traded up for me, then they see something that they like. So I was really excited, and it’s a blessing.”
Smith looks to step in and help the Eagles offense immediately. During his four years at Alabama, Smith caught 235 passes for 3,965 yards and 46 touchdowns. During 2020, Smith had an all-time season recording 1,856 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns.
