Bill Belichick is ‘a beast coming to college football,’ Dan Le Batard says

Bill Belichick is taking on college football after 29 years as an NFL head coach. How will he do? That’s the question everyone is asking. Longtime radio host Dan Le Batard thinks the 72-year-old is going to kill it at North Carolina.
“I do not believe that the people listening to this have a full, fundamental understanding of how insulting it was to this man, given what he’s done and how hard it is to do what he achieved, to have no job offers and have to interview multiple times in Atlanta,” Le Batard said on his show Thursday morning. “If you think this person, who had to watch a documentary made by Bob Kraft for Apple TV that shreds him and explains how Kraft and (Tom) Brady won all those Super Bowls together… If you do not understand that he is vengeant in what his pride is right now in making sure that as a football genius, he is going to do whatever is in his means to not be as mortal as you think he is at his age because he’s not.
“He’s going to take that job and want to crush everybody.”
Le Batard went on to call Belichick a “beast coming to college football” and say that he would be “terrified” as an opponent.
He and the New England Patriots parted ways after the 2023 season and Belichick has been out of coaching since. He’ll reportedly make $30 million over 3 years with the Tar Heels.
North Carolina is coming off a 6-6 season. Mack Brown’s second stint with the program lasted 6 seasons but never produced more than 9 wins. Carolina hasn’t won double-digit games since 2015.
