Notre Dame is a slight favorite over Penn State according to the latest betting odds.

Sportsbooks released odds for the upcoming Orange Bowl on Thursday evening, shortly after the Fighting Irish finished off their 23-10 win over Georgia in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.

Notre Dame defeated Indiana and Georgia en route to the semifinals. The Fighting Irish won both games by double digits largely due to its excellent play on defense and special teams. Notre Dame held Georgia to under 5 yards per play and recorded multiple turnovers in its victory on Thursday night.

Penn State bested SMU and Boise State in order to reach this stage. This is Penn State’s first-ever appearance in the College Football Playoff, and now the Nittany Lions have a realistic chance of playing for a national championship.

Notre Dame vs. Penn State odds

Over at DraftKings, Notre Dame is a 1.5-point favorite (-110) over Penn State in the Orange Bowl. The total has been set at 46.5 points.
