Notre Dame QB Ian Book drawing Johnny Manziel comparisons after wild pass
Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book has had a tremendous season, as he looks to carry the second-ranked Fighting Irish to the College Football Playoff.
Friday’s matchup against No. 19 saw Book shining once again, this time with a wild flip pass that somehow moved the chains for Notre Dame.

Remind you of anyone?
The play is reminiscent of Johnny Manziel’s time at Texas A&M, when he tore up the SEC and won the Heisman Trophy. College GameDay host and Alabama alum Rece Davis agrees.
So @davidpollack47 and I are texting during @NDFootball @TarHeelFootball game. Arguing the degree to which Book and Johnny Manziel should be compared. That last flip from Book scored one for Davey. Book matched John with an “absolutely no conscience” play. Love watching him.

Book is hoping to do something Manziel never did – win a national title before his time is up at Notre Dame.
