Michael Hawkins Jr. shared details for his upcoming commitment on Wednesday morning.

Hawkins announced he will make his commitment on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. ET. He will be going on Instagram Live to make his decision public.

Here’s that announcement:

Hawkins will be deciding between Oklahoma and TCU. He’s long been a target of the Sooners in the class of 2024.

The talented quarterback is a Texas native. He attends Frisco Emerson High School in McKinney, Texas, and is listed at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds.

Hawkins would be a massive addition for OU. He’s currently ranked as the No. 311 player and the No. 19 quarterback in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He has also picked up offers from programs like Alabama, Penn State and Arkansas, amongst others.

Oklahoma is off to a slow start in the class of 2024. So far, the Sooners have just one commitment in the cycle. 4-star cornerback Jeremiah Newcombe became the 1st player in the class to commit to OU back in late March.

Here are some highlights from Hawkins’ junior season:
