Oklahoma knows the Red River Rivalry against the No. 1 Texas Longhorns is going to be even more of a test than usual this year… but that’s not just because Texas is the top-ranked team in the nation.

It’s also because the Sooners are particularly lacking at wide receiver with five players out at the position as was listed on the injury report that was released Saturday morning. The Sooners not taking the field on Saturday at WR include Jayden Gibson, Jalil Farooq, Nic Anderson, Andrew Anthony and Deion Burks.

Oklahoma will also be missing tight end Kade McIntyre and offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett. On Texas’ side, the Longhorns will be without running backs CJ Baxter, Christian Clark, Velton Gardner and Colin Page. Defensive back Derek Williams Jr., running back Colin Page, placekicker Michael Kern and DS Tate Haver are all listed as probable.

Here’s a look at the full report:

The Sooners and the Longhorns are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET at the Cotton Bowl for what will be one of the most-watched games of the weekend.

Texas enters the matchup as the heavy favorite, and rightfully som, given the dominance it has shown and the way that Oklahoma has struggled in its “welcome to the SEC year.”
