Chad Kelly’s aunt delivers beautiful Instagram message to her nephew

Jill Kelly, wife of legendary NFL quarterback Jim Kelly and aunt to Chad Kelly, shared an update on her nephew’s surgery to repair the ACL he tore in the Georgia Southern game, which ended his career:

My nephew, Chad’s amazing college football career at Ole Miss ended a few weeks ago when he injured his ACL. He had surgery today and everything went well, thank God. Now, the recovery process begins. Our family would appreciate it if you would pray for Chad… Sometimes setbacks are set ups for God to do immeasurably more than we could ever imagine. We are believing and hoping that Chad will come back from this momentary pause for healing – stronger and more focused than he ever was…able to play the game he loves with even greater passion, precision and professionalism. We love you and we are praying for you #10.

Kelly’s college football career began at Clemson in 2012. He was dismissed from the Tigers in April 2014 and transferred to East Mississippi Community College of “Last Chance U” fame. In 2015, Kelly transferred to Ole Miss and led the Rebels to a 10-win season capped off by a Sugar Bowl victory.
