Chris Paul Jr. (known as Pooh) transferred into Ole Miss as a key portal pickup for Lane Kiffin. Now, he’s off to the 2025 NFL Draft after leading the Rebels with 88 total tackles this season.

Paul confirmed his intentions in an announcement on social media, thanking everyone associated with the Rebels for his journey:

“To my brothers and coaches, I want to thank y’all as well,” wrote Paul. “Thank you for allowing me to become a part of something special. We have created a bond that will last an eternity and I’m forever grateful and proud to have gone to war with y’all each and everyday.

“With that being said, after many conversations with God, myself and my parents, I’m extremely blessed to announce that I have decided to enter my name into the 2025 NFL Draft to pursue my dream. I want to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point in my career.”

Paul was a 3-star prospect coming out of high school with the Georgia native beginning his career at Arkansas. He delivered back-to-back key seasons for the Razorbacks in 2022-23 with a combined 136 total tackles with 14 TFL and 6 sacks.

In spite of those numbers, he transferred to Oxford where he would set a career-high with 88 total tackles and 11 TFLs. He chipped in 3.5 sacks and recorded 4 pass breakups and his first career interception in the Egg Bowl.
