Elijah Moore, former Ole Miss WR, again expresses frustration with role after loss to New England
After a promising start to his NFL career with the New York Jets, things are going quite poorly for Elijah Moore in his 2nd season.
The former Ole Miss standout had recently been “excused’ from practice for what the Jets described as a personal day.
The 5-10, 178-pounder subsequently requested that he be traded, but New York does not appear to be interested in honoring that request.
Nor do the Jets seem all that interested in playing Moore, who was on the field for only 4 snaps at WR in a 22-17 loss to New England on Sunday.
After the game, Moore was asked to comment about his chemistry with Jets quarterback Zach Wilson.
Moore didn’t hold back with his answer.
“I don’t even know,” he said. “I couldn’t even tell you. I don’t get the ball. I don’t know.”

There doesn’t appear to be any resolution in sight either.
According to ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler, the Jets have told other teams that Moore is not available.
Jets have been clear to teams calling that Elijah Moore is not available. Not sure if that will change but for now Moore not a central part of the offense. https://t.co/NVF69ngoBB

Moore has caught 16 passes for 203 yards this season. But in his rookie campaign a year ago, he had 43 receptions for 538 yards and 5 touchdowns.
