Since going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, former Ole Miss QB Jordan Ta’amu has had quite the professional football journey.
He signed with the Houston Texans in August of 2019. He was waived at the end of that month. Then, he played for the St. Louis BattleHawks in the XFL before that league shut down. From there, he has spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Detroit Lions and then the Chiefs again.
On Tuesday, the Lions tweeted that they’d signed the former Ole Miss star for his second stint in Detroit:
#Lions have signed free agent quarterback Jordan Ta’amu.

In his stint in the XFL, Ta’amu played in 5 games, throwing for 1,050 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He added 217 yards and 1 score as a runner.
Now, we’ll see if he can earn a roster spot with the Lions for the 2021 season.
