John Bol has found a new home in the SEC. The elite big man has decided to play for Ole Miss.

Bol shared the big news Monday on social media.

Bol, who played for Sunrise Christian in Wichita, Kansas last season, is a significant commitment for new Rebels head coach Chris Beard’s program. The 7-footer is rated 4-stars, the No. 5 center and No. 34 prospect overall in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite. Texas, Beard’s former school, extended a scholarship offer to Bol on June 15, 2022.

Bol’s recruitment has had some twists and turns. He committed to play for Florida on June 10. Less than a month later, on June 30, Bol’s agent Chris Wash announced that the recruitment had reopened. On July 27, the Overtime Elite announced the signing of Bol on social media.

Other programs to extend scholarship offers to Bol include Illinois, Kansas State, Butler, Mizzou, Clemson, Iowa, Michigan, UConn and Georgia Tech.
