Lane Kiffin says Ole Miss is ‘2 plays’ away from being undefeated

Lane Kiffin’s team looked like a real College Football Playoff contender at the beginning of the season, but that much has not held true as the schedule has rolled on.

“Hey, stop making the mistakes so you can show the country you’re one of the best teams in the country, because you really are when you play well,” Kiffin told the team in a report from CBS Sports. “We’re two plays … not two miracle plays, we’re two very normal plays away from being undefeated and the (No.) 1, 2 or 3 team in the country.”
Ole Miss will face one of its toughest tests of the season up next against the Georgia Bulldogs when Kirby Smart and co. head to Oxford. The Bulldogs were formerly the top team in the nation, but have taken a small step back in the standings. They most recently defeated Florida, 34-20 in Jacksonville.
Georgia and Ole Miss are set to kick off at 3:30m p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 9 in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
