Jaxson Dart led Ole Miss on a drive late in the game that ended up being the game-winning drive for the Rebels, but his nerves didn’t leave after seeing the ball cross into the endzone.

After Ole Miss’ 38-35 win over Texas A&M, Lane Kiffin shared the hilarious interaction he had with his starting quarterback on the sideline as Texas A&M looked to make a game-winning or game-tying drive.

“Even Jaxson came off and was like, ‘We scored too fast.’” Kiffin said in his postgame press conference. “I’m like, ‘Can you be positive, please?’ And then he’s like, ‘They’re going to make the kick’ and I’m like, ‘Can you be positive?’ Finally after the game he goes, ‘Alright I’ll stop being negative.’”

It’s hard to blame Dart for his high-strung attitude on the final drive. The quarterback had put together an outstanding game with 387 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he didn’t want his big game spoiled by a loss. Ole Miss is also looking to make a late push for the SEC West title, and it couldn’t afford a loss to the Aggies.

Now Ole Miss has confidence and momentum on its side as the Rebels prepare to take on Georgia next week.
