New Wide Receiver U? Ole Miss pass-catchers top NFL, CFB stats

The 2020 season has been a banner year for Ole Miss receivers past and present.
Ole Miss junior wideout leads all pass-catchers with 1,193 receiving yards, at an incredible rate of 149.1 yards per game. In Saturday’s Egg Bowl win, Moore broke AJ Brown’s record for receptions in a season with 86. Moore did it in just 8 games while Brown’s 85 catches were accumulated over 12 games.
Meanwhile, in the NFL, the leading receiver is a former Rebel. DK Metcalf leads the league with 1,039 receiving yards. The Seattle Seahawks star bests Kansas City Cheifs standout Tyreek Hill by 18 yards (1,021).
As you might expect, Lane Kiffin saw a fan’s tweet about the two and shared it with his recruiting hashtag. While Kiffin can’t take credit for Metcalf, Moore’s banner year will certainly have plenty of play-making wide receivers eager to play in Ole Miss’ passing attack.
