Ole Miss accused of fraud as criticism grows over Rebels being pretenders
By Keith Farner
Published:
Ole Miss was the No. 7-ranked team in the country, undefeated and among those dark horse teams mentioned as a possible College Football Playoff participant.
The Rebels also built a 20-17 lead at halftime on Saturday against LSU in Tiger Stadium. Then the wheels came off, and by midway through the fourth quarter, they trailed by 18 points.
Lane Kiffin also lost his first game, 45-20, after leading at halftime, as he was 20-0.
Here’s a sampling of the reaction:

Can’t wait to see Ole miss fans explain how they are still the best in the west after losing this game. Fraud Alert.

I knew Ole Miss was a fraud. There’s really one good team in the SEC and that would be Georgia.

I’m not convinced that Arkansas won’t be favored when Ole Miss visits on Nov. 19.
ESPN gives Arkansas right now only a 28% chance of winning that game, but the Rebels look pretty overrated today.
