Ole Miss had a successful season in many ways in 2024. The team finished with a 10-3 record and dominated Duke in the Gator Bowl. However, a late-season loss to Florida ensured the team would fall short of its goal to make the College Football Playoff.
Still, the Rebels’ offense was record-breaking in 2024. The unit set a program record for most total yards in a season by accumulating 6,846. An impressive 4,561 of those yards came through the air while 2,285 came on the ground.
The team’s 2nd-highest yardage total since 2000 came in 2015 when the team gained 6,731. This is also just the 7th time since 2000 that the Rebels have gone over the 6,000-yard mark in a season.
Much of the offensive success can be attributed to Jaxson Dart. The senior QB set the program’s single-season passing yards record by throwing for 4,279 yards in 2024. The QB passed Chad Kelly’s previous record of 4,042 yards in 2015. Dart combined that yardage total with 29 TDs, 6 INTs, and a 180.7 passer rating in 2024.
Ole Miss ended the 2024 season with the No. 3 scoring offense, No. 2 passing offense, and No. 2 total offense in the country. Only the Miami Hurricanes had more total yards of offense than the Rebels did in 2024. The Rebels surpassed their 2023 yardage total by 843 yards.
So far this offseason, the Rebels have done a fine job of reloading offensive talent for the 2025 season. Wide receivers Deuce Alexander, Caleb Odom, and De’Zhaun Stribling have all committed to the Rebels via the portal.
