During the 2019 NFL Combine, Ole Miss S Zedrick Woods showed off his blazing speed during the 40-yard dash testing.
The speedy ex-Rebel cruised to a 4.29-second 40 time, which held up as the fastest time for anyone at the Combine in Indianapolis.
However, he watched all seven rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft without hearing his name called, leaving him to go the undrafted free-agent route. On Saturday night, though, he ended up with his first NFL team, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars:
The #Jaguars agreed to terms with former Ole Miss S Zedrick Woods, a 5-11, 205-pound safety who ran the fastest 40 at the Combine with a blazing 4.29.

That’s an interesting spot for the former Rebel, as the Jaguars are putting together a strong defense and are a team on the rise.
It’ll be worth watching how his speed plays at the NFL level and whether he can snag a roster spot with some special-teams work.
