WATCH: Ole Miss WR Elijah Moore makes great catch; Memphis defender ejected for targeting

The Ole Miss Rebels are in action for the first time this season in Memphis, where they trail the Tigers 7-0 heading into the second quarter.
On a play late in the first quarter, WR Elijah Moore made an incredible catch, and then got lit up by Memphis DB La’Andre Thomas.
As you can see below, it was a clear targeting penalty, and Thomas’s ejection was upheld upon review:

Ole Miss missed a 50-yard field goal attempt on the drive and still trail 7-0 early in the second quarter.
Moore did not seem to be injured on the play. We’ll see how the loss of Thomas affects the Memphis secondary moving forward.
