Oregon coaching rumors: Ducks reportedly request to interview coach of independent FBS power
Since former Oregon Ducks head coach Mario Cristobal announced he was leaving Oregon for Miami, the Ducks are once again in the market for a new head coach.
Where could that new coach come from? According to a report from Dick Harmon, the Ducks have requested to interview BYU head coach Kalani Sitake:
Hearing that Oregon is requesting Kalani Sitake to interview. Whether or not he does remains to be seen.

Sitake used to play at BYU under then-head coach LaVell Edwards and became the head coach of the Cougars back in 2016. He has a 48-28 overall record and is 3-1 in bowl games.
Before that, he was the defensive coordinator at Oregon State in 2015. That may explain why he is being sought after by Oregon.
He knows that area of the country and he has been a successful head coach with the Cougars. This year he has led the Cougars to a 10-2 record and his team has been invited to the Independence Bowl.
