Houston, Texas RB Zach Evans collected 44 scholarship offers as the No. 1 running back in the class of 2020. The 5-star North Shore product is set to reveal his college destination at the upcoming Under Armour All-America high school all-star game. The game isn’t until Jan. 2, but Evans has already offered a strong hint.
Speaking with reporter Bud Elliott, Evans noted that his final three schools came down to Alabama, LSU and Georgia. He also gave Elliott a strong hint on where he has already signed and will enroll next month.
“One of their backs just played in the super bowl as a freshman. That’s a hint,” Evans told Elliott.
Former Georgia RB Sony Michel played in the most recent Super Bowl as a rookie with the New England Patriots against the Los Angeles Rams. Evans may have spoiled his announcement by giving away a pretty obvious hint. It won’t be long until it is official and he’s on campus.
5-star RB Zach Evans says leaving his family in Texas was the toughest part.
He has signed and will enroll early. Announcing during the Under Armour Game.
