As the old quote goes, there are only three certainties in life — death, taxes, and Bill Snyder coaching the Kansas State Wildcats.
Snyder, now 78 years old, is preparing to enter his 27th season as the Wildcats’ head coach, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all.
In fact, according to ESPN’s Jake Trotter, Snyder will now be with the Wildcats through the 2023 season (when he’s 83 years old) after signing a five-year extension on Thursday:
Bill Snyder has agreed to new 5-year deal at K-State, per source. Snyder, 78, will make $3.45 million this year, with $300K increases next 2 years (TBD after that).

Eventually, Snyder will have to stop coaching, but that moment doesn’t seem to be coming any time soon.
It’s quite possible Snyder’s coaching career will continue long after everyone reading this article is gone.
